School Night! with Luscious Jackson and Twin Shadow at The Bowery Hotel – FREE!
School Night!, party group recently transplanted from Los Angeles, is coming back to New York this Friday. With a diverse selection of artists and DJs, ranging from Australian singer Matt Corby to celebrity singer Samantha Ronson to DJ sets from Luscious Jackson and Twin Shadow, this event is well worth its price – free. “….And Was It Love” Performance Art at Grace Exhibition Space
Have your art intuitions investigated by a psychotherapist, watch a performance about what it means to be yourself which includes a plastic cube filled with water on a leash. There will also be beer, wine, and whiskey.

Midnight Magic at The Brooklyn Bowl

Brooklyn Mutt Show
Celebrity judges, including reality TV’s Doggie Moms and Brooklyn City Council member Letitia James, will be selecting the winners for two days full of contests from “curliest tail” to “looks most like owner” to “Mayor Mike look-alike” Last year’s 2nd Annual show had  over 1,200 attendees and an even larger turnout is expected this year.

Grillin’ on the Bay: Barbeque and Chil
Grillin’ on the Bay is the most official barbeque event in New York, and the only one sanctioned by the New England BBQ Society. At the same time, the Chili Smackdown will allow amateurs and professionals to compete against each other in Chili making. Attendees pay just $10 for all you can eat chili!
