Pizza and ice cream lovers, unite! K! Pizzacone has risen to the top of the junk-food-establishment-chain, combining the ultimate in sweet and salty into one mouthwatering on-the-go serving. And when I say combine, I don’t just mean that they offer both pizza and ice cream (they do); rather, they feature individual pizzas made-to-order in a dough cone, boasting that “pizza doesn’t have to be flat anymore.”
K! Pizzacone offers two unique sizes, K! ($4.90) and K!!! ($5.90). The menu offers ten unique variations of pizza cones from BBQ chicken to Chili to Breakfast, and also an extensive list of toppings (or fillings) that run between 50 cents and $1.00.
I opted for the Vegetarian pizzacone. Broccoli, mushrooms, and mozzarella were mixed in a bowl and then stuffed into a cone that had been spread with tomato sauce (pesto was the other option). The procedure is as follows: the cone goes into the oven for exactly five minutes and then is placed in a cleverly engineered cardboard carrying case that keeps the cone warm so you can enjoy it on the go. You can try your luck getting a seat inside, but there are only three in the restaurant.
I enjoyed my pizzacone within a matter of minutes. For those craving a full lunch, I’d suggest the double deal: two large cones and a pizza for $9.50. Pizzacone also offers delectable dessert cones filled with sweets like berries covered in chocolate sauce.

I also visited Pizzacone recently.
I found the service to be particularly slow for a fast-food style establishment, especially when there were twice as many employees as there were customers. Melissa might have had to “try her luck” to get a seat inside, but it might have been because all of the non-working employees were sitting in them while they ate their own Pizzacone lunches. Usually this wouldn't bother me very much, but since I paid such a steep price for mostly a gimmicky lunch I at least expected it to be fully-cooked. No such luck. The center of my 4-cheese cone was still cold, globs of half-melted cheese making a mockery of any attempts to innovate the traditional lunchtime favorite. Next time I'll stick to PizzaWaffle. They at least know how to cook their cheese thoroughly.
Is the deal for 2 cones and a SODA? This sounds cool!
Where can I get PizzaWaffle??!
