Roti Roll

994 Amsterdam Ave (between 109th & 110th St). 212-666-1500. Sun-Mon 11am-2am, Tues-Wed 11am-3am, Thurs-Sat 11am-4am. 1 to 110th. Frankies $3-6.
This neon-illuminated, closet-sized snack joint specializes in ‘frankies,’ heavily-spiced Indian wraps, served late. Both vegetarians and their carnivorous friends are satisfied with wrap options ranging from marinated lamb to tofu and mushroom. Adding goat cheese to the roll is well worth the extra $1. Indian-spiced french fries, spicy chicken wings, and deep-fried calamari are great as greasy bar food, and can be ordered next door at Suite, a gay bar operated by the same owners. On weekends, Roti Roll remains crowded until its 4am closing, with locals craving post-barhopping munchies.
